When Smt. Indira Gandhi was arrested in 1977, in protest against her arrest he was also arrested and sentenced two days jail in Tughlak Road Police Station in New Delhi. He strongly believed in Congress Policies and programmes. After her arrest he was decided to spread the message in public about the policies of the Congress Leadership in general and the failure of the Janta Party Govt.
After Smt. Gandhi was released from jail, he got the chance to meet her. He was so impressed with her party agenda and on the same day he decided to join the Congress Party.
He joined youth congress in 1977-1980 under the dynamic leadership of Shri Sanjay Gandhi ji who gave us the privilege to work with Sh. Ghulam Nabi Azad ji. After the demised of Sanjay ji in 1980, he was very depressed, but later he had decided to be continue as a Party worker of the Congress and will continue follow his path in future.
He got privilege to work with Bharat Ratna Late Shri Rajiv Gandhi till 1987 along with Shri Ghulam Nabi Azad, MP, Hon’ble LoP in Rajya Sabha as well as General Secretary, AICC.
